The University of London's existing web-based portal brought together a wide range of separate systems, scattering student information and complicating the support task.
They wanted to upgrade to a new digital experience platform (DXP) that would integrate with their existing systems, provide a consistent user experience, and be maintenance friendly for the future.
A digital experience platform for learners globally
To kickstart the project WORTH reviewed the existing site architecture and all the requisite plug-ins to provide scenario maps for the different upgrade options available to the University of London.
We then worked with the client to understand their development priorities and make recommendations on the best technical approach.
The final step was migration of the existing database into the upgraded portal, and a content structure and UX rework to ensure a simple and consistent user experience across the new platform.
Personalising the student portal experience
Helping students find information they need quickly and easily
Improving facilities for collaboration and interaction
Creating a greater sense of community amongst students and staff
Streamlining frequently used functions
Facilitating single sign-on, registration and application processes
WORTH helped us clarify what we really needed; they shifted our whole approach and understanding. We progressed from a website redesign to a workplace solution.
